OK, great to see the additional looper display functions – very helpful! I use the looper a lot.
However, the MIDI functionality seems to be broken – my previous set up using an MC8 to send CC messages to control record/play/stop no longer works:
I have tried on an initialised patch, but all I get is a visual acknowledgement of the control – see attached image – but not the actual function – ie, Record message sent (mapped using the Control Assignments page) brings up a temporary message ‘A – Long Basic Looper – RECORD’, but no recording takes place. Same with the other mapped messages – PLAY/STOP etc..
This will be great.. But for the moment I think I’ll need to revert unless there’s an easy fix!
Thanks, Dan

Hello,
Glad to hear that you are enjoying the new looper updates! We had to make some changes with certain how MIDI messages work with the looper and the new perform overlays, so this may be what is causing your issue.
Please make sure your MIDI controller is outputting momentary MIDI CC footswitches that are 64 or higher when pressed, and 63 or below when released. If your MIDI CC’s are configured to work like this, they should work correctly with the looper’s transport controls.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have tried that (I didn’t have a CC programmed for the release before, but now do – see screenshot) – still the same result unfortunately.
Not sure what else to try..

Try rebooting H90. I ran into something similar (also using MC8), and the reboot of H90 resolved the issue.

Thanks – that seems to have done the trick for now.

Further to this, I’m getting problems with assigning Performance Parameter map values to the looper functions. I am finding that using the H90 Control, the parameter map does not persist after save. ie – I assign RECORD on switch A to MIDI cc 10 and save. I switch to another patch, and back to the edited one and the control Source is once again unassigned for the parameter I just saved. Doing this on the unit directly appears to persist, and this all worked fine before updating on H90 Control. However, if I edit the control source & cc value on the hardware unit, the correct value is not displayed on H90 Control – in this case I map MIDI cc 10 to RECORD, but on H90 Control it displays as cc 0.
Another strange behaviour I’m getting is using the P/A/B LED buttons – pressing down A gives me the performance parameter mapping page – in Looper its 1buttonloop/record/play/stop/erase/undo – if I then press P, I get Act/byp/Hotswitch/tap, but then if I press A again I don’t get the looper functions (even though the display shows ‘A Performance Parameter Mapping’), I get the same as if I had pressed P. I have to press PERFORM again to go back, and then press A again to access the looper functions once again
I think I can manage using the hardware to program the PP values without having to revert for the time being..

Hi, thanks for reporting this. I can reproduce both of the issues you mention and we are looking into this.
For now, this should work correctly if you just use the pedal for the control assignments as you mentioned.
