Everyone likes a freebie right? So I was very happy to have a try of the new Obliterate plug-in. I downloaded the latest Windows installer version 1.0.3 but I’m having a few problems. Please note that I have already installed and activated Sheen-Machine and DeBoom plug-ins, so I seem au fait with the install and activation procedures. I have Windows 11, 24H2, fully up to date as of date of this post.
First off the installer itself appears different. Not a biggie perhaps, but when I selected the option to install only the .VST3 version, the install path screen was blank, and the installation failed upon completion. So I went back and included the .VST2 version, set my install path accordingly.
While the other two above mentioned plug-ins show up in my DAW, Obliterate does not, nor does refreshing the plug-in list, or restarting my PC help at all.
Generally speaking I avoid VST2 wherever possible. I may have missed a step, or set something incorrectly, but otherwise this interesting looking plugin is useless to me at present.
