Looking at the poweradapter provided, I assume 12V / 1A is the optimal power for the H90.

I now have it running on 12V / 500mA on my Ciosk Hi5, without any trouble.

What wille be the benefits of running it on 12V/1A ? (2x500mA using a current doubler cable)

      For example:

Will it there be an audible difference? Is there a higher/lower noise floor? etc.

There must be a reason for the 1A provision?

Cioks power supplies can effectively handle the startup spike the H90 requires during power cycling. A 1 Amp power supply simply provides a much safer rating. Even though you’re very close to the absolute minimum power requirements of the H90 with one outlet of the Hi5, there is no audible difference running it higher.

To add to what Joe said, while the 500 mA Cioks output can currently drive the product in most cases, we can’t guarantee that future updates, configurations, or variations from unit to unit won’t draw more current (up to 1A).

thnx! I have enough connections available so I will connect the current doubler, just in case.

No known drawbacks like a higher noisefloor?
