      OK,after yesterdays midimapping tedium,I go turn it on this AM and instead of the normal power-up routine I get a blank screen then 1vertical bar of light on the screen which fades after a few seconds and then the PF doesn't light up nothing,flat dead even though its ON????

      Crap,I had a buddy of mine buy this from Musicians Friend when I was back in the USA for Xmas last year.How would I go about returning/service as I live in Germany

      If you want to return it you will have to contact the dealer from which it was purchased. For support, contact support@eventide.com.

      It sounds like you either have a soldering problem, or the internal program memory has been overwritten. Either way, it will have to come back to Eventide to be fixed.
