        Hallo everybody:-)

        I am coming from Frankfurt and have a big problem with my DSP 4000,

        when I turn on the DSP 4000 it says " an error occored"

        a long code is following….. ( it makes me cry…)

        He says:

        "Write down the code and reboot the the DSP"

        My question:  HOW DO I REBOOT THE DSP 4000

        Maybe somebody has an idea, I go crazy when I have to send my pearl away to repair.

          Hi Mike

          you can try to power on the unit pressing & holding the PROGRAM key. This should force the unit to unload the last running reset that may have caused the lock-up. Subsequently you may also try a clear setup from the SETUP menu.

            Thank you so much for helping me!

            What do you mean with clear setup how can I get there? Because when I turn on it just show the error page and nothing you push reacts.

              I tried the programkey solution then the DSP says:

              "You want to load MUTE yes or no?" 

              Ist that alright if yes means I should tell him yes?

              I pushed no because I didnt want to make a mistake

              Your idea to clear set up impossible to do because no key reacts while the page says the error occured please reboot.

              I hope so much you have an idea:-)

                hit YES! That should make the unit boot.

                Clear setup should be available unders the SETUP key. Look for the menu with all system parameters reinitialization.

                  Ok I will press yes! I reaaly dont know what will happen after pressing it.

                  At the moment the key "setup" is after I pressed it not reacting….

                      There can be many different causes, like a power unstable feed, or a corrupted preset, cosmic rays……..
