Public Beta Announcement: H90 1.9.4 / H90 Control 1.8.6

Hi all,

We are happy to release a public beta software for the H90 along with a new version of H90 Control.

This release contains a number of enhancements for the Looper algorithm, as well as new UI features for live performance.

Looper PERFORM Pages

When the Looper algorithm is loaded into A or B, an extra page of parameters will appear in the PERFORM mode.
These are transport controls for the Looper, now accessible from the H90’s built-in footswitches:

RECORD – Record, or toggle Dub.
PLAY – Play loop from the beginning, finish Recording or Dubbing.
STOP – Press once to stop the loop.  Press-and-hold while the loop is playing to Undo/Redo.  Press-and-hold while the loop is stopped to Erase.

In addition to the footswitch controls, a large heads-up display provides feedback into the current state and position of the loop.
The footswitch LED colors also denote the current state of the loop, for easy viewing on stage.

Looper Algorithm Upgrades

The Looper algorithm itself has also received numerous upgrades and improvements:

• Separate Play & Record Speed knobs.  You can now set the Play speed to an arbitrary value (at any resolution) and it will take effect upon playback of a recorded loop.
• Add normal/reverse direction and full/half speed performance parameters
• Fixed Punch dubbing mode.  Allows you to use the independent Record footswitch as a momentary trigger (note: the One-Button Looper only works with latching mode)
• Fixed an issue where Undo/Redo could bring back an erased loop
• Fixed audio artifacts that could appear sometimes when playing back a loop

Perform Overlay

This feature expands on the functionality of the Perform footswitch parameters.

Previously only visible in PERFORM mode, the Perform Overlay offers a heads-up display on these parameters from the other Play modes (SELECT List/Bank).

In addition, changes to Perform parameters caused by remote aux switches or MIDI can be seen in the overlay across all Play modes.

This opens up new possibilities for controlling the pedal in a live environment, allowing a wider range of use cases and configurations of onboard and remote controls.  Together with Quick Knobs, the Perform Overlay offers valuable in-the-moment feedback for the H90’s playable parameters.

Other Changes

• Allow PERFORM page selection to be saved with Programs
• Allow PERFORM global control to toggle between pages
• Fix a lockup that could sometimes occur while using expression pedals

 

H90 Control Public Beta 1.8.6 (Requires H90 firmware 1.9.4+ / dot9 firmware 2.2.7+)

New Features:

• Add support to connect to and edit all dot9 stompboxes – https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h90/1.9.4/content/h90-control/dot9.html
• Increase character limit for program notes and adjust the “Programs” tab program overview panel to accommodate longer notes.
• Add a prompt to warn users about unsaved program changes if they try to load a different program. This warning can be disabled by clicking the “Don’t ask again?” checkbox, and it can be reenabled by restoring default settings on the “Settings” page.
• (Windows only) Create an uninstaller
• Improve external mapping popup position above/below parameter.

Bug Fixes:

• Fix H9 Preset List import in Dual Mode
