Hello,
when changing sampling rates from within the Eventide Dice, there is an audible burst of clicks and noise (for about 1 second). Is this normal behavior? Perhaps it would be better if the H-8000FW could be muted during this procedure?
Also, is the buffer size locked? Mine always says 576. There are other values to choose from the drop-down list but these seem to be unavailable (not greyed-out, just unavailable). Maybe my H-8000FW is in some kind of Lock-mode?
Regards,
Yannis -

Very hard to reply to this as you give no information.
For example: what software version ? Sample Rate ? Sync Source ? Operation Mode ? WDM or ASIO ? DPC Latency?
You get the idea…

Hi Nick,
here's the information I ommited:
Software version: H-8000FW: 5.3, Dice: PAL Version: 3.2.0.1556 – driver version: 3.2.0 build 1556
Sample rate: any sample rate causes clicks
Sync source: internal
Operation mode: Safe Mode Level 1
Buffer size: 576
WDM = Enabled
Sample rate change restriction = Allow ASIO clients onlyFinally, I don't have any values for latency, on the "Recommended WDM Operation Mode" it says "Error" 🙁
Best regards,
Yannis. -

Thanks. Needless to say, this problem is unknown to us.
The Error from WDM operation mode may be a clue.
Probably first thing to try would be to disconnect the FireWire, uninstall the drivers (Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs), power cycle the PC and then re-install before re-connecting the FireWire..
Trying a different FireWire card might be helpful.
Disconnect any other FireWire devices.
If the above doesn't do it, conect Customer Support by email with attached screen captures of all the Dice Control Panel screens, and we'll take it from there.
