If you look under the More menu, there's an option to create a copy of a user preset; if you want to create a new user preset from an existing preset, you should create a copy of it and then save your changes to the copy.
Incidentally, a few people have asked for a save as feature, and we've changed the way saving works in the upcoming release in a way that makes what you want to do easier.
