      Hi there,

Is there a way to get the H90 to send program specific MIDI messages to an external pedal whenever I load a program?

Specifically, I have a MIDI capable drive pedal that I’m using as an insert with the H90 and there are presets on the drive pedal that I’d like to recall whenever I load a specific Program on the H90 (IE: any time I load Program 1 on my H90, I want my drive pedal to change to preset 5 via MIDI, and anytime I load Program 2 on my H90, I want my drive pedal to change to preset 4 via MIDI, etc)

Some background: I’m coming from having a gigantic pedalboard with a Boss ES-8 handling my MIDI and switching needs, but lately I’ve been trying to downsize to a setup that ditches the switcher and is limited to just the H90 and a couple of other pedals, with the H90 acting as the hub for everything.

      Thanks!

You would need to align the the Program Changes numbers 1:1.  PC1 on the H90 will send PC1 out to the drive pedal.  There is an ‘offset by 1″ feature now in System Settings, but not a MIDI mapping feature, as such.

I am assuming the drive pedal has a fixed set of receiving Program Changes, but you can arrange a List on the H90 to match that.  Not that difficult: Copy / paste your Programs to a User List in H90 Control with the correct order.

Ah gotcha – so I need to make sure that the presets that I want to recall on my drive pedal are saved with the same CC# as the H90 program I want to use them on (assuming I account for any offset needed)? I can definitely make that work. Hoping there will be an update somewhere down the road that allows for more customization around what MIDI info gets sent upon loading a program – that would be ace
