How does one convert an old file in .sif-format to .sig in VSIG 2.4.9 ?
Thanks Ole

Just load it into Vsig (File Open) and then Save As with the name ending as .sig

Thats what I did first in the previous thread. The old .sif-file was still saved as .sif, not .sig…

In the save as dialog, are you sure you changed the filename to .sig ?

I only see two options: '.sif/.sig' and 'all files'

Yes.

Sorry – there is nothing more I can add. This works.
If you want to save, say, test.sif as a sigfile, you have to use save as, and manually change the name to test.sif before hitting OK.
As I said, this works. If it really does not work for you, please give a full description of what you are doing, including EVERY keystroke, EVERY message, and EVERY thing you see, and send it to support@eventide.com, marked for my attention.

I did not specify the *.sig extension whe saving so it remained as a *.sif.

Perhaps it would be better if it is automatically saved as *.sig (when no extension is specified) and then as *.sif only if typed (if .sif is really needed.)

OK – I think you know what to do …

Probably so. sif format is essentially obsolete and will be removed from future versions. It's really only present for back-compatability.
