In 1981, a small pro
audio firm called Ursa Major in Belmont, Mass. introduced a interesting
signal processor called the SST-282. “It became a much loved effects
device and the Space Station SST-282 recreates that device in a plug-in
for Pro Tools,” explains Eventide on their latest emulation of classic
effects hardware. “It's a multitap delay whose output delays are
modulated (swept) to provide some really unique effects.”
