        Hi,

        I have noticed that the H-8000FW runs very hot. I mean VERY HOT… I have it on top of a rack with nothing above to provide for ventilation. I was wondering if it is OK to leave it on for…. how long before the electronics are affected?

        Also, what happens with the battery? I hate to send it back to have the battery replaced – I love it!

           It does run hot. Ideally leave 1 rack space above AND below for ventilation.

          The battery lasts 5-10 years – you can change it yourself.

            The Orville, but not the H8000, has a little used external DC connection designed for stomp boxes. This could be used for a cheap pancake fan of the right voltage.
