      I just bought a h8000FW, and am trying to update it. I have downloaded the udate to a flash card. When I powering up and hold down #2 it just says "OUPDATE…awaiting contact."

      You have to press and hold the 1 key to engage update from the CFC. The 2 key engages updating from our Windows utility Oupdate, which uses a serial cable to perform the same task.

      Hi

      I need to correct my statement as changes have been made.

      The "2" key is the correct one to engage update procedure. It works for both CFC and Oupdate (serial cable + Windows PC). If a card is present it will show up as the priority update method.

      If you are not seeing the update message associated w/the card but the OUPDATE screen is present, then either your card or Pcmcia to CFC adaptor is faulty.

      ???? My unit is new out of the box with the factory flash card and adaptor provided. What are you telling me I need to do please…..
