      I am still unable to update m new h8000FW. I cleared the flashcard, reloaded the flashcard, and I still get the same message. There is no busy light. I tried to dump the card but it is protected. The card adapter must be working if it transferred the files succesfully.

      you can try formatting the card on the H8000. This is available under SETUP > SERVICE: Then try the update again. We have seen cards that work fine with presets (storing/loading) but may have problems with updating the unit.

      Your next option is to get another CFC. SanDisk are good ones. No need for huge capacity.
