Recently i purchased 2 used effect: 1. H9 MAX 2.H9… Previous owner Update the “normal H9” to max… He give me the account for enter the H9 control Software… When i connect the 2 effects it shows “Update aviable” i have 2 questions:
1- If i update the software of the “normal” h9 do i loose the max update?
2- If i update the software do i loose the max upgrade on the normal H9?

1- If i update the software of the “normal” h9 do i loose the max update?
No. If you are 100% certain they purchased the MaxOut program, that unit is forever categorized as an H9 Max according to Eventide’s system.
2- If i update the software do i loose the max upgrade on the normal H9?
No.

This is not optimal. The previous owner should have deregistered the units so that YOU can establish your own Eventide account. In fact, that is what I recommend you do for security purposes.

He was afraid that if he deregistered the 2 effects we loose the max upgrade and i was going to pay all over again… Its posible to make all that process? How i am 100% certain that the second unit its maxed and i gonna still maxed if i deregister and register in my account? This is what i see when i enter in the account

That second unit does not look like an H9 Max. Contact support@eventide.com for them to verify. Under normal circumstances, Eventide allows a Max owner to download the algorithms to other Standard/Core H9’s on the account. But this DOES NOT turn those Standard/Core units into actual H9 Max pedals; if those pedals are ever deregistered they go back to being what they were.
Did this person purchase the MaxOut or not? Contact Eventide support for clear answers.
