I’m probably doing something dumb.  I have an H90 and a Tonex.  I put the tonex in insert 2, the idea was that I could put an effect before or after, and it’s making this wild rhythmic noise.  Like a flutter or at tick, it’s sort of loud.  Both the H90 and the Tonex are quiet and operate normally independent of each other.  I have them powered with an Eventide power supply.  I’ve using EBS flat patch cables.

I have  4 out to the insert of the Tonex, and the Tonex out (mono) to 4 in.  This appears to be insert 2.

This could be a Tonex issue, I have no idea, but as both work normally when not used this way, I thought I should double check the routing I’m using.

        Any help is appreciated.

I think I found it.  I had a kill switch and a midi box to switch the H90 and the Tonex on one daisy chained plug, removed the kill switch (it’s just a light, it doesn’t actually need power) and the noise went away.  Ordered a separate cable for the kill switch so they are not on the daisy chain.
