Question for the Eventide DSP engineers. I’m curious to hear details on what the Percussive mode of polyphony is doing under the hood. I took some impulse responses of the program in both “Pitched” and “Percussive” mode to see what the difference was and could tell that the filters are more narrow in the Pitched mode and that there are more filters overall. Is the Percussive mode just a matter of using wider/less filters? Or is there something happening within the pitch-shifting operation/algorithm that accounts for percussive playing as well?

Would be very interesting to hear about this from the Eventide engineers!

I’m also curious if delay was used at all to match the latency response of the high-frequency filters to that of the low-frequency filters. My plots seem to show that the initial response of each filter is very similar which makes me question how this was done since higher-frequency filters should in theory respond quicker than lower filters with similar sharpness
