He kind of favors strats now but the real magic of this tone is 3 things: 1) AC30 driven just a little bit 2) Heavily Modulated Double Tapped delay (1/4 and dotted 1/8th) 3) The Most Important - A pick with grips played upside down so you are scraping away from the strings.
