Registering a Used Stompbox

If you purchase a used Eventide stompbox you may encounter an “Invalid Serial Number” error when trying to register the device. This is because the device is still registered to the previous owner.

To change the registration over to your account we will need proof of ownership.

Send a picture of the serial number of the device to support@eventide.com along with your Eventide account username. If you do not have an account, you can create one here.

Finding your serial number

The easiest way to find the serial number of your device is to flip it over and look for a sticker. The serial number will be of the format XX-##### where XX is the identifier of the product and ##### is the number of your particular device. For instance, for an H9, it might be H9-12345 and so on.

Product Box

The box that your stompbox came in has a sticker on the side with the serial number.

Device System Menu

You can use the system mode of your H9, ModFactor, PitchFactor, Space or TimeFactor stompbox to give you details about your device, including its serial number. 

H9
  1. Power on the H9
  2. Press and hold the HOTKNOB button and the Right Footswitch simultaneously for a few seconds to enter System Mode. (The Left and Right Footswitch LEDs will flash RED continuously to remind you that you’re in this special mode.)
  3. Turn the HOTKNOB until you see UTILS
  4. Press the HOTKNOB
  5. Turn the HOTKNOB until you see SER#
  6. Press the HOTKNOB
  7. Your serial number will scroll by. It starts with “H9-“
  8. Press and hold the HOTKNOB button and Right Footswitch simultaneously for a few seconds to exit System Mode.
ModFactor, PitchFactor, Space or TimeFactor
  1. Press and hold the Encoder (black knob labeled “push for Tempo on/off”) and the Right Footswitch simultaneously for a few seconds to enter and exit the System Mode. (The Left and Right Footswitch LEDs will flash RED continuously to remind you that you’re in this special mode.)
  2. Turn the Encoder knob until the display reads UTILITY and push the Encoder knob to enter the UTILITY menu.
  3. Turn the Encoder knob until the display reads SER# and push the Encoder knob to display your serial number
  4. Press and hold the Encoder knob and Right Footswitch simultaneously for a few seconds to exit System Mode.
