Presets
Description
Octaves down. Expression pedal controls 'Delay Level'.
Description
Choppy tremolo with randomized glitches.
Description
Rubberband octave pitch shifts in opposite directions. The low sensitivity on the envelope starts it glitching on lower input, long decaying notes, or with lighter picking technique.
Description
At toe you've got no modulation, at heel your delay is drenched in filtered modulation
Description
Expression Pedal Heel: Delay B = 1/2
Expression Pedal Toe: Delay B = 1/32
Unlimited rhythmic variations + octave shifts; thanks to the delay length precedence.
The Flex / Learn switch ... is useless here. Octaves are octaves. Useful w/ other intervals.
EXP PED changes the rhythm texture of the delay pair with every movement.
Delay B determines the feedback loop length, until it drops < Delay A @ 1/8 (taking over).
Description
Use an expression pedal or the HOTSWITCH for an infinite sustain freeze-effect.
Description
Octave jumping choppy sequence.
Description
Distorted and quick semitone up and down delays.
Description
Expression pedal controls delay time.
Description
While Repeat is latched, the parameters can still be manipulated with an expression pedal, so the loops can dynamically evolve. And since a latched Repeat is essentially 100% Feedback, the actual feedback controls can be set somewhat lower. Un-latch Repeat, and the loops can decay at adjustable rates.
Expression Pedal Heel: Delay A = 75 ms.
Expression Pedal Toe: Delay A = 3000 ms.
Delay A = a short slapback flutter echo + quick fade at the default (EXP PED heel).
Delay B = a long loop with a somewhat long decay time. Mirrored notes minus the flutter.
The Repeat switch latches the loops for infinite feedback & loop mangling in Delay A.
Expression pedal speeds / drags the "tape reels" for extreme pitch bends in Delay A.
Latch Repeat [Delay A buffer full] for retro tape speed pitchbending and '50's space FX.
Unlatch Repeat for long loop decays that can still be manipulated with the EXP PED.
Description
Start out with the THRESHOLD control relatively high ... around -6.0 dB. Then carefully adjust the THRESHOLD for your own particular strength of pick / finger attack. Fractional deciBels between -6.0 and 0.0 dB can make a big difference in the output.
This preset starts out with a 'slow gear' effect, with a ramping attack & 1-second RELEASE time. The expression pedal lengthens that envelope decay to 4 seconds. Make adjustments to that 'recovery' time so that you don't step on the next notes played.
The HotSwitch shifts the envelope to fast attack + quick release. Clipped, funky notes (plus a THRESHOLD that worked better for my picking style). Combinations of HotSwitch'ed & expression pedal allow you to create many different envelope shapes on-the-fly.
Description
SlowGear Tremolo does just that: A fast buildup of delay taps that peaks, then trails off into a rapid tremolo. The Speed of the Chop is mapped from 1/16 - 1/4 note for live slowdown effects on the tails. The HotSwitch raises the Taps density from 8 to 64, for more emphasis on the 'swoosh', with a resonant tremolo sustain.
Description
Pat Travers style liquid chorus
Description
Octave jumping and multi-fx randomness.

Here is "Space Echo 1" my first user patch to share with everyone here. It is based on the gorgeous warm analog like sound of the Time Factor's Tape Echo algorithm. I created this patch taking reference from the sonic characteristics of actual Roland RE Series of tape echo machines that I service including the RE201 and RE501. Hope you enjoy it.
Tips: * Use an Expression Pedal as it's mapped to the Saturation, Flutter and Filter parameters. In the 'Heel' position it replicates the sound of a pretty well maintained but old machine, in the 'TOE' position the sound is a combination of a worn, dirty and slightly misaligned playback head with a slightly wonky motor and the tape is old and easily saturated. Also feel free to swap or include Exp control for the "Wow" parameter. Adjust the "Wet Mix" Knob to find the right dose for your application. After playing around with this basic template save your preferred or fav variants and feel free to experiment with re mapping the Expression Pedal and Hot Switch for Delay Speed and Feedback controls to get into some Dubby Tape Echo Oscillation Feedback fun. Suitable for all solo instruments or full mix use.

An alternative take on the classic Spacemen 3 overdriven Jen/Vox V809 Repeat Percussion sound. This time with a bit of reverb in the mix. Running into a mildly driven amp, the sound isn't that bad. The expression pedal controls the filter sweep on the high frequencies, which adds to the sound. For an example of where I'm trying to get to see the youtube video. The preset is nowhere near as raw as what Pete Kember is getting out of what is presumably his Vox Starstreamer's onboard effects (boost, fuzz, V809 and palm wah (!). To get closer to the sound one of the resonant wah presets on the Sonuus Wahoo (F06 in particular) can get you quite close if you stick it in front of the H9.

'Ramp up' tremolo.
