Presets
Description
I've now added a fourth Hairy Eyeball low gain overdrive (designed to distort the next thing in you signal chain) preset for a Treble Booster. This is more accurately described as Treble Booster inspired because I tailored it to suit my ear (ironically, by removing treble). The other three voices are a TS808, a Klone, and a mid-focused H9 factory preset called “Balls”. An expression pedal allows you to adjust the mid hump in each until you find the best setting for you. You could then eliminate the range if you’d like. The “TRIM” knob is a gain knob with a limited range and a hotswitch uses that knob to provide a modest crunch-boost option. The TREBLE and BASS knobs basically operate as expected. The default TRIM setting adds a volume boost so I have nullified that by reducing the output level. These presets are driving my Kingsley Page, Page TS, Harlot, and Page J out of this world! Naturally, you could hit any other drive pedal or the front of an amp. As always, adjust to taste. 9/26/2022

BlueWingedTiger just posted an excellent Morley Power Wah preset. I've simply repackaged it as a half cocked wah for those interested in one. Use an expression pedal to find the right amount of nasal for you and off you go. Use with your favorite overdrive/distortion and, as always, adjust to taste. Again, attribution of all creative effort here goes to BlueWingedTiger. 9/26/2022

This H9 preset was inspired by the famous Andy Timmons reverbesque delay in Robert Keeley's excellent Halo pedal. It is an approximation, not a recreation. That, in part, is because the original has a "gallop" that I don't think can be captured in UltraTap. Hopefully, it is close enough to cure your Halo gas. Thanks to YouTuber ciclosonico (whose channel is loaded with creative H9 snippets) for providing valuable improvements over a posted prior version. 9/7/2022

This H9 preset was inspired by the first preset on Robert Keeley's excellent Halo pedal (the famous Andy Timmons reverbesque delay sound). This merely an approximation of that preset, not a recreation. Hopefully, it is close enough to cure your Halo gas. 8/30/2022

Echo I use for the solo on Band of Skulls - I Know What I Am. Pretty wet with only one or two noticeable repeats. I use it with a Les Paul (Bridge) to EHX Soul Food to H9 to Fender Deluxe Reverb. YouTube video is to actual song, not preset. (Solo starts around 2:05.)

OK so this is more shoegazy droney stuff for those of us who used to zone out to "Head On"-era Loop and "Sound of Confusion"-era Spacemen back in the day. This sound has one purpose, to crank up the amp and hammer away on an open A string whilst fretting from 5 to 7 on the D string for hours on end. Kick the expression pedal forward to bring in the third drone. Mindless but satisfying.

Everybody has a jet flanger. Here's mine. Distortion before or after this will yield very different results.

Josh Smith gets a lot of praise for his H9 Leslie sound and has shared it with the world on YouTube. I'm reproducing it here (on the preset sharing page) where it is likely to be shared even further. It has expression control over slow/faster rotor speed. If possible, use stereo headphones/amplification for the full effect.

If I could have just one phaser in my H9, it'd be this one. It's on the subtle side and has exp pedal control over speed. Go ahead. Try it. 9/9/2022

You prolly guessed that this is another Klon type preset. It is similar to the one I built with EQCompressor but this one provides a little grit. Just a little though. Most people use their Klons and Klones as overdrives. They keep the gain low and turn the volume up until they smash the front of a tube amp (where most of the distortion is generated). 9/9/2022

Here's a MicroPog preset for the H9 with octave down and octave up (one sound at each end of the ribbon controller/exp pedal). The hotswitch adds fuzz so you have the option to use the preset with or without fuzz. Adjust to taste. 9/2/2022
